Helping you evaluate dust and water resistance of enclosures according to the Ingress Protection Code

Ingress Protection testing evaluates the resistance to particle and liquid entry for an enclosed product. After testing has been performed, the product receives an IP rating, based on IEC 60529, according to the achieved resistance to solid particles and liquids.

We have the capability to evaluate your product for dust and water resistance according to the IEC 60529 standard for ingress protection. To achieve compliance to common standards or NEMA classifications, products must demonstrate an acceptable level of ingress protection. IP ratings are also often required by sellers or retailers before a product is purchased from manufacturers and resold to consumers, regardless of a product’s intent to protect against dust or water.

Whether verifying advertising claims, providing IP ratings for retailers, or testing ingress protection against industry requirements, MET can provide all relevant testing and evaluation from a single-source laboratory. As the world’s first NRTL, our stamp of approval gives customers, retailers and regulatory bodies confidence that the product in question meets advertised claims and performs as intended.
